On April 9, 2019, the construction workers of the Pingtan Strait Rail-Road Bridge used the rare good weather to speed up the construction progress. The Pingtan Strait Rail-Road Bridge is 16.34 kilometers long. The upper level is a six-lane highway and the lower level is a two-lane railway. It is China's first truly dual-use cross-sea bridge for roads and railways. It is also the most difficult in the world.
